Haunch Bars in Concrete Works: Everything you Need To Know.

In the field of construction, Haunch Bars are reinforcing bars (rebar) that undergo bending at an angle and are strategically placed in a sloping or diagonal manner within the concrete structure. 

The main purpose of haunch bars is to fortify these connection points. By distributing loads and stresses evenly they effectively prevent weaknesses or cracks from forming in the concrete.

 They are used to add strength and support to areas where there is a transition, in the shape or cross section of the structure. This typically occurs at the intersection of a column and a horizontal beam.

They serve as a component, for safeguarding the safety and longevity of structures especially in locations where there is concentrated structural loading or sudden geometric changes.
